Kevlyn Walsh
Born and raised in a small gold rush town tucked between the foothills in Northern California, I was a child who never went anywhere without her Crayola crayons. Growing up with a mother much like Martha Stewart, I was exposed to the world of arts & crafts from an early age. Weekly visits to Michael’s created a notion that feeding one’s creativity was a key component in life. I was always drawing, always crafting, and always making a creative mess in my room. I followed my passion towards a creative career and received my BFA in Art and Design with a concentration in Graphic Design from California Polytechnic State University San Luis Obispo. After moving from California to Denver, CO I went back to school and received my Art Education license to teach Visual Arts K-12 from Metropolitan State University of Denver in 2015.
I am always challenging myself as an artist and trying out new artistic endeavors. I dabble in all kinds of art ranging from sewing, painting, drawing, graphic design, photography, you name it! I'm often asked, "What is your favorite type of art to do?" and I truly don't have an answer to that question. Some days I like to paint, some days I like to do digital art, but mostly I enjoy learning new artistic techniques and challenging my creative abilities. This year, I will be teaching Photography and Graphic Design at East High School.. Being able to share my passion for art and design with the students at East is truly a dream come true. |
